Fear Not! An update is nigh :) How is everyone? Fine? Good. I have gigs. Many. A multitude and some new songs to boot and am finally recording an E.P with the glorious Marky of Wildtype ( all hail ). Also the amazing Paulio of Doolah has agreed (many times) to make me a new and spangly site one of these (hopefully soon) days, so that'll be most exciting.

Right, I insist that people come to at least one of the gigs I have this and next week, otherwise I'll take it as a personal insult. And cry and cry and cry and cry, and then you'll be sorry.

Well, it would be easy to think that I went away on a UK tour and either died, was abducted or it was extended to incorporate the rest of the world. None of these are the case though. Nevermind ;p Well, I had a fabby dabby time! We went to lots of places and no-one died and we got to play in an initially scary but later lovely, obscure gay bar in Merseyside, supposedly got reviewed by Time when we played in Glasgow, but I've never seen the review, a member of the tour (you know who you are..) was threatened by the police that he would be charged with Breach of the Peace after attempting to climb the side of a building to retrieve a lost shoe (don't ask) and all sorts of fun. Anyway, I definately did survive, and now I'm back in edinburgh and getting a few gigs, and hopefully I'll be writing more songs in the coming year and getting a demo together (finally). So Merry Christmas everybody, wish me luck and I'll be doing lots of cuddling of everyone next year - Huzzah!!

This is the day of the tour kick-off and I should be having a shower and getting ready to go, especially since I'm going to have to work out the logistics of carrying a rucksack and a 12-string... hmmm.. And i'm not in the slightest bit nervous. No siree......

Anyway, in other news, I went to Newcastle last week and recorded a couple of tracks with Karisma - Fall and Raining Again and when I get back, I'll be putting these up on Vitaminic -Huzzah!

As far as professional news goes, the Tour is the next big thing looming on the horizon, and in and hour it'll be underway, with the first gig beginning tonight in Newcastle at the Cluny, and when I get back, I'll tell you all about it. (On a less professional note, but equally as exciting, the organiser or the tour in London at Acoustic Trip used to be in Neighbours! I find that a great deal more exciting than I should ) Wish me luck, and see you in 12 days...... S

Well, welcome to the first update on my brand spanking new web page, constructed by the wonder that is....Livie - my glorious flatmate.

Well, to fill in the gaps to date, a number of things which really needed to be done are done - the website for example, the beginnings of a CD, and copious amounts of song-writing.

Following a successful night at the Goat Club @ The Edge, Glasgow, I have another gig coming up at Tchaiovna Tea Rooms, Otago Lane, Glasgow, and I'll be kept company by fabulous musicians such as Nick Fraenkel, Calum Haddow and Jess Bryant who have also been invited to play.

The Ed's Acoustic Crew UK Tour will be kicking off with a preliminary gig on the 8th September at the Living Room, Cowgate, Edinburgh, with the travelling beginning on the 14th September, and with any luck another Edinburgh gig to officially begin the tour.

So, with the Tour, the promise of gigs to come and hopefully the start of the recording of my first album with Karisma Records in the very near future, all in all everything is starting to look up....
